We are so excited to be bringing you a very special "Inside My Draws" post today from the talented designer Jennifer Munden from Jennifer Lee Designs. Before we share some more information about her, enjoy peeking inside her draws and her work...

Firstly, we would like to thank Jennifer for sharing with us inside her private workspace and inside her sketchbooks. If you hadn't already guessed Jennifer is a very talented young designer. Working with a love for textiles and a passion for colour.

"To me colour is the main aspect to create something aesthetic, without really thinking about colour choice your design will never look right and for me, the bolder the better!"

We agree! In these photographs, Jennifer has revealed her organic and beautiful drawing skills along with her experimental techniques with materials creating original prints for the home. She loves to experiment using a sewing machine, dyeing fabrics, using silk pens and inks, using batiks, sketching, photo transfer fabrics, wax and making every part of her think process tactile. (As Becki drools- thinking back to her art college days! Best days of her life were spent there, being free to create and let your imagination run wild!)

Completing an Art Foundation at Chelsea College of Art & Design in London and a BA Hons in Textile Design at the University of Leeds, Jennifer has a passion for creating surface pattern for interiors, which are inspired from nature and from all around the world.

"My love of textiles started with a very hands on approach at school where we specialised in was only when I went to Leeds that I developed the design style that I have now, which I’d say has a flare for colour and scale"

Of course as two beauty obsessives we couldn't help asking Jennifer what her favourite fashion trends are and if she's nail polish mad like us, which seems to become a running theme in these guest posts hehe.

"I am so happy that Monochrome is trending at the moment. Even though it’s such a simple colour match it creates such an impact. One other colour trend I am in love with is the use of Orange. I am currently obsessed with wearing my orange toned nail varnish by Barry M; the shade is ‘Papaya'. My next project will definitely include these colour trends."

At only 23, we suspect Jennifer has a very bright future and we would love to see prints and designs like hers on our walls and our clothes! Check out her blog, where you can follow her career and get a sneak peek into her world of designing- and don't forget to like her facebook page

Thank you Jennifer for opening your draws to us ladies!
