BATH AND BODY FAVOURITES 2013.

Here's to 2014! But before I jump into the new year, I wanted to share a few of my 2013 favourites. I found this quite tough to do, as this is almost my first full year as a beauty blogger, so 90% of my beauty purchases were bought last year! These favourite posts were tricky, as I have only picked five products in each category, #bloggerproblems. So to the first category...Bath and Body.

This year my bath and body collection has quadrupled, I think I may actually have enough body lotions and butters to last me for ten years let alone this year. My favourite body butter has to be Laura Mercier's Almond and Coconut Milk Body Lotion. Oh this product is good enough to eat. Bought for myself, from a very thoughtful Selfridges voucher early last year from John, I knew I was going to love anything that Laura Mecier was going to throw my way. This body butter not only smells like a holiday in a bottle, it is super rich and creamy leaving your body soft and supple all day long. I was gutted when I finished this product not too long ago and I sure know what will be on my birthday wish list.

One of my favourite scents of all time is Molton Brown Ylang Ylang. It used to have a rather fancy name but I do quite like the simplicity of it's new one. Unknown to me, until recently, I seem to radiate to products that include Ylang Ylang as a friend told me last week that it is one of the top notes of my all time favourite perfume Chanel No.5. My favourite shower time treat has certainly been a hand full of Molton Brown's gorgeously thick Ylang Ylang shower gel. At £18 for a bottle, I certainly only use this when I'm feeling a little blue or having a 'me' day and it has lasted me really well. Lucky for me John treated me to a new bottle for Christmas, so I don't have to be without!

Oh the luxurious products just keep coming I am afraid! I had never used or even heard of body oils before LLP (the innocent days before the addict!). As soon as I tried a Caudalie Divine Oil sample, it was love at first site. This oil is literally divine as the name suggests. It's warm intoxicating scent and light non-greasy texture glides onto your skin, leaving it moisturised and feeling sexy. Yes, I said sexy! The lovely ladies over at Kilpatrick PR were kind enough to send me a huge bottle of the oil after declaring me declaring my never ending love for the product and in the larger bottle the oil is even more beautiful. The mister makes it easier to apply all over your body and looks a treat on my dressing table. Read my full review HERE.

All year long I have been trying to refrain from splashing out on beauty products that are a) too expensive or b) buy with the mind set that everyone has them so I have to have them. Although sometimes I have given in, I am so happy that a brand that I have always wanted to try Aromatherapy Associates was in my latest Space NK GWP in December. A beautiful set of four Aromatherapy Associates travel size bath oils c/o that you can use in the bath or shower, giving your skin that extra treat it needs now and again. As you will noticed, I only have three in this picture as I gave my Mooma one for Christmas as it was a perfect scent for her. The oils are kept, smell beautiful. The fragrances are rich, relaxing and ooze luxury. At my rented home, I don't have a bath but when I am in the mood for some down time, I just walk down the road to my family home and have a little self indulgent R and R.

My final fab find this year was Lush's French Kiss Bubble Bar. Over the year, I have grow a  small giant obsession with the scent of Lavender. Mainly due to it's calming qualities, there have been a few products that not only that I have loved using but also they have become part of my every day. One of my must haves over the last few months has been this bubble bar. With never ending bubbles and a gorgeous scent, this weekly bath treat is my ultimate relaxant (if I can afford it that week!). Relaxing in a bath with this beauty is heavenly. My mind and body relax and I finally I think about nothing apart from blue skies and rainbows.

I hope you have enjoyed reading my first post on my 2013 favourites. I feel so lucky and privileged that I can have these five luxurious products in my life, as honestly they really have made a difference to my life, my mind set and ways to help take away some of the stress form 2013 away. Look out for my next favourites going up later this week.

  1. I wasn't too big of a fan of the Laura Mercier lotion I received in one of my Birchboxes but I'm thinking of trying out her Almond and Coconut Milk Body Lotion now. Great Post (:
