SKINCARE FAVOURITES 2013.

Ahhhh and breathe. Well, I am attempting to, as I write this from my sick bed. Booohoooo! Today's post however, is one for the all you skincare lovers. By far this was the most challenging category for me to narrow down into five products. Skincare is something I have fell in love with and well lets not lie amongst friends, I am obsessed. To pick just five products across the whole 12 months of 2013, boy it was tricky. So after me faffing around for ages, changing my mind and searching through my cupboards, these five are my final choice (whilst I am typing I think, oh but what about that or that amazing oil or cleanser.... ahhhhh!)

First up is a cleanser that I have repurchased throughout the whole of 2013, Nuxe Micellar Cleansing Water. I have tried my fair share of micellar waters this year, which was something I had never heard of back in January before LLP. I love this cleansing water in particular, as it is really gentle on my skin and refreshes my sleepy face. I tend to use this for a lazy quick cleanse most mornings and I have done since March last year. I can't count how many times I have repurchased this cleanser, means it must be a keeper. You can find my full review HERE.

As you may have noticed, my second must have from last year is yet another cleanser, Aurelia Miracle cleanser c/o. I did feature this cleanser earlier last week, in my skincare fab five, as I am still using this product almost every day and have been ever since I got it. I can't get enough of it. Not only is the packaging beautiful the cleanser itself is heavenly. Have a read of my skincare review from last week - The Fab Five,  for more information.

This is the oil of all oils for me! If you haven't already tried Triolgy's Rosehip oil c/o, Ladies and Gents you need too! This oil has been a miracle product for me this year, helping to reduce the appearance of my scars from evil spots over the last five years. I have quite bad spot scars on my chin and around my nose, that has always bothered me. To many they won't be visible but it's the classic case that I know they are there and I hate them. I used this oil almost every other day, at night. I have seen such a huge improvement in the visibility of my scars but also my skins texture. It seems smoother and more radiant. This oil is certainly an investment and I would definitely recommend it.

2013 was the year where my face mask addiction begun. I never knew I could become so obsessed with slapping on a pampering face treatment almost every other day of the week. Long gone were the days of a 99p packet face mask from the supermarket, I ended up spending alot of dollar on all sorts of masks. Although, I can't knock'em, as I am still love and use all of them every week but I have to admit, Brazened Honey by Lush Cosmetics is by far the best mask that showed me instant results and is one of the cheapest. I have banged on about this mask ever since I tried it, and peeps I am still not over it! It leaves your skin, instantly cooled and once you wash it off your skin radiates and feels like silk. I have constantly repurchased this mask and I'm saving up my Lush pots to bag myself another one! My full review from early last year can be read HERE.

Last but not least, is the miracle worker and blogging phenomenon La Roche- Posay Effaclar Duo. Can you believe this product was one of the first beauty reviews I wrote last year. I had been reading blogs for months previous, learning a few tricks of the trade and hearing Effaclar Duo everywhere! So of course I had to get involved and to be honest, writing about this product was one of the reasons why I wanted to start LLP in the first place. Where else can you share your excitement for a product and chat about beauty? I had finally found a cure to tame the skin my teenage years had left behind and I too started spreading the word and haven't stopped since. It is a great blemish treatment, that doesn't dry out your skin at all but leaves you with a matte-like appearance and hydrated skin. I have loved everything I have tried from La Roche-Posay last year and I think this brand is one to watch for 2014.

I promise you my final favourites will be up on Wednesday then it's so long 2013 and to the future!

  4. I definitely need to try some rosehip oil. My Mum and best friend (who are both big advocates of natural beauty products) keep recommending it to me but I never get around to tracking some down! My skin's gone a bit crazy lately so I could definitely do with some help on the texture.
