BRAND NEW BEAUTY. ORIFLAME THE ONE. BASES.

A few weeks ago now, I was lucky enough to attend a new launch for Swedish make up brand Oriflame. Named 'The One' this new collection is supported by The One Collective, who are a group of industry pros- models, make up artists, stylists etc that brings together three new ranges inspired by a woman's make up needs. These three ranges include High Impact, Everyday Beauty and Long Wear. Launched during Stockholm Fashion Week and inspired by the catwalk looks that used The One make up range, I couldn't help but share these three base products from my favourite collection 'Everyday Beauty'. By far I think these are the stars of the range.

Scouting around on The One section of Oriflame's website I couldn't help but be inspired by one of the looks created at Stockholm's Fashion Week HERE, where the models wore only foundation and concealer to create a flawless base. For me, the base is everything. It can make or break your look and I am always on the look out for products that will last, giving me a flawless finish and here is my attempt at wearing these three products. I wouldn't say go out in just a foundation, concealer and powder, as i think you'll agree I look like I've lost my lashes and all the blood in my body but it is quite refreshing trying a very minimal and natural look. The three products that I wanted to share with you are The One Illuskin Foundation c/o, Illuskin Concealer c/o and Iluskin Powder c/oHere I am, baring all and just wearing just all three to create the perfect base or for me that little bit ill'er than I already looked hehe!

As soon as I tried The Ones lightweight foundation in the shade Porcelain, it was the perfect match. It has a satin finish, which is my preferred texture, as it is similar to my holy grail foundation- Liz Earle Signature Foundation and in comparison this foundation isn't that far off of it. The foundation has a medium coverage and adds a healthy glow to my complexion. The texture of the foundation is not too wet but not too thick so it applies and blends easily into the skin.

The One Illuskin Concealer was a product that I was most excited to try as it had promise of being a real showstopper. A concealer is a must in my make up bag, as I have quite a few scars from spots and alot of redness around me nose. This light, silky concealer is non-greasy and has a texture quite similar to The One foundation so they work perfectly together. The concealer I would say isn't the best at covering suborn scars but it did make them less visible and by blending it in with a bit more product they soon disappeared.

To finish the Illuskin Powder is pretty basic and a similar in finish to most pressed powders I have tried. I used it all over my face as I prefer a matte look to my base as I tend to get a little oily on my T-zone but I think it is probably best placed sparingly so it can catch the light.

Overall, I think these three products are amazing value and at the same price as most drug store products they are just as good if not better, especially the foundation, which I really do adore. If Oriflame is not a brand you have really experienced before, I would say go have a browse of their site HERE and see if anything takes your fancy. Let me know how you get on!
