Another week, another set of fabulous clothes, completely unimaginable to wear in Summer heat but hey that's the way the fashion industry works. On Wednesday, I was very lucky to be invited to the Debenhams press day. Last month I was gutted to miss their beauty press day that looked and sounded fabulous, so I had high expectations. Just like my last fashion event post, I will share my favourite pieces from the collection and hopefully give you an over view on what the latest trends are coming up for AW14.

It happened, I am obsessed with orange. God knows if orange even suits me but my eye loves it and my life needs it. At the gorgeous high ceiling, gold adorned ornate setting of the Debenhams Press Day, I can't express how these clothes had a backdrop to live up to. As soon as I arrived I spotted a gorgeous orange coat from Red Herring, I just wanted to whip it off the mannequin and run out the door with it. Now this happened on quite a few occasions with Henry Holland's Hi collection with amazing fun animal prints and an oversized coat that just was beautiful. Alot of the coats were very textured and seemed to be available in a similar oversized fit in warm autumn tones with huge oversize lapels which I love.

As I haven't been to many AW14 press days yet, I have to say that you can certainly pick up on big trends that seem to be coming through every designers collections. One of these is the two piece. Now I have a thing for matching two pieces, they remind me of the 60's when woman looked fabulous in cute matching suits in loud prints or subtle pastels. Whether its a matching top and skirt or a sophisticated trouser suit, I can't help but fall in love with them. Now you may have see this one above on my instagram but I can't wait till it's out in store as I NEED it! Again from Red Herring, who for me provided most of my eye candy, I fell in love with this skirt and short sleeved bright retro orange print. I can't remember how much it cost now but I don't care as I want it! You could wear it in the summer and dressed up a little with tights and a cardigan for Winter. I also have to mention Julien McDonald's jacquard style suit below. I loved the tailored trousers and matching blazer. Its print was right up my street!

As a gal who loves her monochrome, I found some amazing pieces and prints that would fit straight into my wardrobe. Full skirts are of course staying here for AW14 in thicker, bolder fabrics. I still haven't taken the plunge in buying one yet as I am so short, I am worried it will swamp me in fabric and will be more maxi skirt than midi. They are just so elegant though. As for accessories, I must say I didn't really see anything that I was that excited about but you can see that ankle boots and bold statement jewellery are going to be huge again for adding a touch of glam to your woolly knits.

I hope you like my edit of my favourite parts of the Debenhams AW14 Press Day and that your just as confused as me to this thought of Winter at the start of Summer! Please do let me know if you like these fashion posts as I know it's a bit different for my some what beauty focused readers. Don't worry beauty is still at the top of my list but whilst lots of previews are going on I really wanted to share them with you as they excite me  and I feel inspired!
