A brand new summery themed release today for June, which lucky for me I did actually get to try it out in some actual London sunshine - Yes it does exist. As a gal who doesn't make it on holiday much, the summer months are cray cray for our family business, that little bit of sun we had in May, well I couldn't say no to getting those pastie legs out of hibernation. All in the name of beauty blogging. I have in the past made the cardinal sin and only usually protected my skin from the sun when on holiday. Maybe it's because London sunshine is rare but unfortunatly for me I burn pretty much instantly. Don't worry I am not going back to those days anymore. I'm a beauty blogger Ive got to get my act together!

Now a fully pledged beauty addict, I finally understand what my skin wants and more importantly, needs, I use SPF everyday on my face and when the sun is out I protect my body too. I always opt for spray suntan lotion, as I hate getting sticky and most of all I am one lazy mo fo. So I was really excited to try out Nivea's Sun Protect & Refreshing collection, as this new range is exactly the opposite to that horrible sticky greasy old fashioned lotion!

In Nivea's new range, there are three different products that immediately protect with an added cooling affect on the skin. First up in the collection is the Nivea Sun Protect & Refreshing Sun Lotion (£15.00, 200ml) c/o. This sun tan lotion is more of the 'traditional' style lotion, which comes packaged in an upside down bottle, saving alot of minutes trying to squeeze and shake the bottle to get the product out! The lotion  itself is extremely light in texture, cooling and hydrating. With it's star innovative formula including a new ingredient Menthol that works as an active stimulus giving a cold sensation on the receptors in the skin,. The scent isn't too strong and it is of course water resistant with high UVA/UVB filters to help protect your skin. I love the silky moisturising texture of this cream and it applies evenly with no greasy residue in sight!

Next up is Nivea's classic and much loved Sun Protect & Refresh Invisible Cooling Sun Spray (£14.00, 200ml) c/o. With an improved formula, this easy sun spray applies evenly, with no oiliness, or stickiness. I think this will always be the sun protection I prefer to use - no messy hands hehe! However, I think out of the three products, this is the least cooling of them all, which is a shame as I do love the formula as it sinks into the skin and feels like you are wearing nothing, which for me is perfect as who wants to feel sun screen on. I also love the fact that this spray seems to give your skin a little glow.

Finally in this range is the exciting Protect & Refresh Invisible Cooling Mist (£16.00, 200ml) c/o. This sun spray is a little different from the others as it is housed in a compressed can which can be constantly sprayed all over your body. By this new application and new 360 degree valve means your can spray at all angles for on the go protection. The spray is a light mist that literally cools you instantly. The strange thing is, is that it almost feels dry, which once it is on your skin it feel like you haven't applied anything. This formula however is a little greasy to touch with your hands, if you do need to rub it in, which you shouldn't do but what a great on the go product to have in your handbag!

Lats but not least is the best of the bunch that for me is something that fingers crossed I won't have to use but I know that there have been plenty of times that I wish I did have this product with me. Meet the new Nivea Sun In-Shower After sun Lotion (£6.00, 250ml) c/o. For a bargain price, this is exactly what it says on the tin, it is an in shower after sun that your apply in the shower and simply wash it off, leaving your skin cooled and refreshed. After a boiling hot day, when your skin is feeling a little baked what could be any better. I did try this product in the shower but I won't lie, I am not burnt or tanned as a matter of fact so I can't really comment on how affective the product is for sunburn but if your after smoothed, hydrated and refreshed skin, this is your answer. I can imagine this would be the perfect remedy for hot over exposed skin, especially if it is sore.

So no excuse for not looking after your skin in the sun folks! What do you think of the new range?
