SUNDAY LOVE. #23. TAKING THINGS FOR GRANTED.

If you ever find yourself in central London, I don't think you can beat the beauty that is Southbank. In the past I have taken for granted where I live and I never just sit and admire how beautiful the city can be. I am a London girl through and through but over the last year I feel like I have missed out on my old life. The simple things I used to take for granted, like jumping on the tube, meeting my friends for dinner, all the boring stuff that makes living all the more fun. That has all changed since having anxiety but I am making big changes. You may have been along for the ride with me on my journey for recovery and with the progress I have made, I decided I need to make a stand and never go back to the days where I couldn't do those things.

I think for me, now Summer is here, it is my chance to fall in love again with the city. Re-live, make and feel incredible memories in my favourite places around London. One of those places that I can never forget is the Tate gallery on Southbank. If you want a room with a view, you have to go and visit this beautiful landmark in London and just take in the incredible city you are standing in. I did exactly this a few weeks ago. I felt overwhelmed but also filled with an extreme sense of happiness to be back out in one of my favourite places and most importantly I was there with the people I love. For them to see me out - a new person and a person who can finally feel happiness again, is a step in the right direction.

Never take any day for granted and remember every day is what you make of it. I now live by my new motto 'Always believe something wonderful can happen today...' and it will folks. Till next time...

  2. You have such a way with words. Can you please write a book so I can buy it?

This actually reminds me of standing at the top of the Empire State Building waayyy back in 2010, and I was so overwhelmed by the beauty of the city. I thought that I'd never get to go back there again in my life, so I tried to take as much of it in a possible.

  4. Lovely post - I am always trying to remind myself to enjoy little moments, like just sitting outside and taking short walks. It's easy to get caugh up in big things and to ignore the parts which make up our lives. Southbank is also one of my favourite places - no matter where I am in London I always end up back there. One of my favouirte memories is sitting on Southbank at 8am, sipping on an iced mocha, just before it got too busy or too hot. Beautiful :)
