BEAUTY BOX. MEMEBOX. KOREAN BEAUTY.

A very exciting beauty box for your today folks. I was so privileged to be contacted my Memebox a few weeks ago. If you haven't heard of Memebox, they are an online store that source, package and send beauty boxes unlike no other, straight from Korea. Now if your a beauty lover, you would have noticed the huge trend at the moment with Asian beauty, especially beauty from Korea. I have always dreamt of being able to try products from Asia, they are the first for cutting edge beauty and have so many incredible products that you just wouldn't ever be able to try. Its usually the random bizarre beauty bits that I always want to try! Memebox is incredible, as not only do they ship to over 40 countries, their delivery times are really impressive and well the variety of products that are available means there is something there for everyone. The packaging is perfect and simple. I love everything about the brand. I even love that each box comes with a little card that explains all about the products and how to use them. This is needed big time as all the products are in Korean!

So when I got the opportunity to sample one of their boxes I was over the moon. Randomly picked for me, I was lucky enough to sample Memebox's Scentbox #3 Grapefruit c/o ($18.00). This box included four full sized products which for me was a huge shock as I think in the UK, I am so used to these sorts of boxes being full of samples. In the box I was given a full sized Evas Mimi Lauryne's Dress Perfume in  the scent Grapefruit (150ml, $18) which surprised me as I am usually not a citrus gal but this mist is infused with Lavender and Orange flower - two of my favourite fragrance notes. Together this mist smells uplifting and summery that can be then sprayed on your clothes, furniture, bedding etc. I think its a lovely product and something that I would use regularly.

The second full size product is something that I have never seen before. Kael28 Sun Killing Grapefruit Gel (270ml, $30) is an ultra soothing gel that can be used to cool and sooth irritated skin. This gel is pretty much the texture of a shower gel and it combines together the function of a toner and cream. I found the texture slightly sticky after application but when I tried it on sun burnt skin it did really work and I was impressed that a simple product like this isn't spoken about more in the UK.

I am a gal who doesn't dare go near wipes. I always stay away from them and stick to Caroline Hiron's three F's (Flights, Fannies, Festivals) but in the box were Deo Fresh (20 wipes, $2). These wipes are for the pits when your feeling a little hot and bothered. Embarrassing maybe but there pretty good. They have a refreshing scent and feel so cool. Their powdery formula too is different to a usual wipe as it means they are less wet. Even grosser lol! I used them and I think they would be amazing at a festival for sure!

Finally the last product was an interesting one. Sun Smile Hydro Gel Choosy Fruit (2pack, $2) are in a nut shell, two lip masks. These lip masks are the kind of Korean beauty product that I wanted to try from Asia. Apart from cracking me up for 15 minutes, these jelly like masks are in a strange lip shape, which you lay over your mouth, trying not to speak or move whilst their on! Now not speaking for me is impossible!! So this was more of the challenge. As for the actual product, it didn't do much apart from slightly soften my lips like most lip balms would do. They were funny though and something that looked slightly like a rubbery condom when you took it off, I'm not quite sure what to think anymore. It did give me many minutes of giggles and some would agree it shut me up...finally! Oh Asia you!

As for my overall thoughts, I am so impressed with this box. For a way to experience Korean beauty, I can't think of any easier way to do so. For me, this box might not be exactly what I want from a beauty box in terms of my taste but I am so privileged to have had the opportunity to try a box, as I have always wanted to try Korean beauty. I would go check out their website asap as you will probably want to order one as soon as you start browsing!

Hugs & Kisses,
