A new BB cream for you today from the French brand that makes some of the best drugstore skincare I have tried and it's Bioderma. This product is a brand new launch from Bioderma and it's from their Sensibo range - Sensibo AR BB Cream c/o (£14.50, 40ml). This is an exciting launch, as Bioderma claim to be the first company to treat redness with a BB Cream that also helps to treat the redness as well as cover it, along with UV protection. This BB cream I think knocks quite a few BB creams from big brands I have tried from the drug store, right out of the water, by blending skincare benefits as well as amazing coverage just like make up would.

This cream is light in texture and blends into the skin with a little work. I was pretty worried when I saw one shade suits all as it is quite dark when you first apply it. After working it into the skin it blends evenly. It has the texture of a light foundation but once applied sinks into the skin evening out your skin tone, especially for me I noticed around my nose and chin looked pretty even. With a patented Rosactiv, which is an ingredient that biologically helps to combat predominant redness, with ingredients such as green tea and soy extract actually prevents the dilation of red blood vessels. This means along with the short term coverage, it helps long term too. Once the cream is on your skin, you can hardly feel it. My skin felt softened without being too covered up, if you know what I mean. My skin felt like it could still breathe thank goodness! The finish on the product is velvety. It has a slight powdery finish which means for anyone with oily skin, this should help combat it.

My one fault with this product is the fact that it's key ingredient is in fact mineral oil, which for me is a shame, as it can sometimes flair up spots. This cream however is supposed to be suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive as it is very gentle (still will never stop the spot panic hehe!) As a perfect Summer addition to my morning routine, I will probably start wearing this everyday. I think one of its bonus' is the fact that it is BB cream that you can blend like a foundation and it matches to your skin tone, which for the Summer months when you might pick up some colour (I pray) would be handy instead of buying different shades of foundation.

Have you tried this BB cream? Are you a fan of Bioderma?

  1. This sounds like the perfect Summer base, I like that its feels light & like your skin can breathe. I don't react to mineral oil so this might be perfect for me

  2. I sometimes have an issue with mineral oil as well :o( x
