VOLUME FOR FINE HAIR.

I am forever suffering with flat, straight and lifeless hair. If your a follower of my blog, you may know that I have recently cut my hair just above shoulder length with ombre ends. I adore my hair and honestly i think it might be the best hair cut I have ever had. it just suits me, my style and I get alot of compliments on it, which is always lovely. However, there is a problem. It does on most days lack volume. Although my hair is pretty fine, i do have alot of it meaning that sometimes it can be weighed down at the roots and my ends can look quite fluffy. Not the most ideal hair situation!

To get some volume back in those roots, I have been trying a few different hair products that are suited for fine hair and can be used as often or as little as you like. I tend to use them separately with the exception of Windle & Moodie's Light Satin Hairspray c/o (£18.00, 250ml)  that i tend to use at the roots or before using curling tools to keep the curls in place. I also find that this product is perfect for doing a little bit of backcombing, as it isn't the usual crispy hairspray, its ultra fine which means it mists lightly onto the hair without drying it out.

A little pre styling saviour which i have been using for a while now is Percy & Reed's Lovingly Light Foaming Treatment Mask c/o (£20.00, 150ml), the perfect hair mask for fine hair, you apply this moose treatment onto your hair in the shower after shampoo and brush through, leaving it for a few minutes. Once you wash this mask off and blow dry your hair, it builds amazing volume at the roots and your hair just feels bouncy. It's a pricey treatment but my bottle has lasted me really well and would get well over 15 uses.

Phyto is one of those beautiful brands that literally everything I try from them works. This Phyto Volume Actif Volumizer Spray c/o (£17.50, 125ml) is a fine mist that lifts your hair at the roots and holds it with the application of heat. Amino acids and wheat protein to plump the hair and gives a thicken affect. I usually use this if I am going out somewhere in the day as I find it lasts well and I wear salt spray at the ends without losing the volume.

The last product that is a little new addiction to my collection is from the Latest in Beauty Glamour Summer Edit. I really like Toni & Guy's hair products and I have always sworn by their heat protectant mist that I still use now and this product is one of those that you have to try to see if you like it. Meet their  Glamour Volume Plumping Whip c/o (£7.19, 90ml). This product is a blend between a gel and cream that has a satin like texture and feels light to touch. You use a small amount at the roots and blend it in with a towel or your fingers, I like to rough it up in my hair with my fingers to get it fully absorbed. When you blow dry, I tend to blow dry in the opposite direction to parting and this adds volume. Now I like this product and boy does it create instant volume however it doesn't really last all day. With an added bit of hairspray the volume stays but sadly it does need the assistance.

Do you have fine hair? What are your volume helpers?
