My first beauty post of 2015! It feels so good to be back, even though it's a way into the year already! How time flies! Now I am on a strict blogging schedule to get me back in the swing of things, including expanding LLP into posts that dive deep into my wardrobe, your usual beauty install and a few more lifestyle posts of me out and about in London, which I know are your favourite.

To start I thought I would share a few beauty products have that have been coming up trumps over the last few months and they are from the world of Primers. Primers are key to my makeup routine not only to keep my makeup looking fresh for longer but I find they also keep a bit of a barrier between my skin and my foundation.

My skin tends to react quite badly to makeup these days, as I hardly ever wear it. Sometimes it's the ingredients that bring me out in a few nasty spots here and there but I also find it can make my skin look quite greasy, which isn't exactly the look I'm going for since I already look like a greasy teen most of the time!

Over the Winter months my skin has gone back to combination - dry patches on my cheeks and an oily T-zone. To combat this, mainly when I wear foundation, I use my primer to give my skin radiance (which does not have to mean the greasy look) and to provide a smoothed base on top of my usual skincare.

Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer (£29.00) is my favourite, as it really does what it says on the tin, give your skin radiance. The texture blends immediately into your skin, which once your foundation settles into it, you are given a light no-greasy glow. It is almost like the affect of a highlighter. Its subtle but enough to bring life back into Wintry dull skin.

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm (£29.00) much like Laura Mercier primer, is a softening primer that adds radiance, smooths and tightens and this one can even be used as a soothing face mask due to it's ingredients of Witch Hazel and Olive which will calm and hydrate.

Finally an exciting treat from one of my Memebox's last year, the 3W Clinic Collagen Primer c/o ($12.40). This Korean make up base is light and blends to make your skin so supple. It is great at preventing any makeup slipping and especially keeping my greasy t-zone looking matte due to the added sebum contal powder withing the formula.

Do you use a primer underneath your foundation?
