When you know you know right? So for a skincare obsessive, the same applies. It is not very often that I find two products around the same time that completely transform my skin. Don't even get my started on when you use them together (insert OK emoji!)

For my ever changing spot prone skin, using skincare that I am familiar with is always the safe option. However, with new skincare launches happening pretty much ever day, I have to mix things up.

A few months ago, I was sent this simplistic gorgeously packaged Pestle and Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum c/o (£33.00, 30ml), not your usual style serum, it's very watery in texture and sinks immediately into your skin. The serum is free from animal derived raw materials, fragrance free and paraben free meaning the Hyaluronic acid can really get to work. Hyaluronic acid has been popping up more and more over the years and I still find it one of the most affective ingredients for hydrating my skin quickly. This acid is great in hydrating and smoothing your skin whilst targeting dullness and dehydration.

Now to the product, the packaging has that immediate wow factor for me, as it not only looks great it feels expensive and luxurious with a glass pepet for easy application. I apply two drops and run into cleansed skin after toning. I could almost see an improvement in my skin straight away. I like to use this mainly at night when I have more time for a longer skin routine. This product gets to work straight away as banished dry skin instantly and has certainly smoothed and hydrated my skin back to life.

But this serum wouldn't be the miracle worker it is on it's own, as used in unison with Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil c/o (£32.00, 20ml) these two make one battle against the elements.

I have been using Clarins Lotus oil for a while now. I bought it originally back at the start of the year, when I left the lid slightly open, the boy knocked it down the sink literally the day after I bought it! Using every last dribble in the bottle, I realised it was a product not to be messed with. Used after a serum and instead of a moisturiser, this oil is a brightening, glowy and hydrating treatment that refines your skin into a smooth babies bottom over night. It's one of the first products that hand on heart, I can say that when I don't use it at night, my skin just isn't the same.

After my sink dramas, Clarins so very kindly sent me a brand new bottle and for me its the holy grail of my skincare routine. What I love about this oil, is the fact it doesn't leave you feeling greasy or sticky, it's 100% pure plant extract ingredients from rosemary to geranium, gives it a luxurious texture that skins into your skin slowly and with a smell to die for, it calms and soothes. This oil is especially for oily and combination skin too, so its not heavy on the skin and when you wake up you don't look like a grease ball! My skin in fact has become less oily and with both the serum and oil, my skin is plump and hydrated for the whole day. I don't miss my night time moisturiser at all!

Have you tried either of these skincare gems?

Hugs & Kisses
