I have simply just mastered bronzer let alone the world of face painting aka contouring and now strobing...I am going to massively fail in keeping up with the makeup trends! Tell me I'm not alone!

During the Summer, I hardly have time to wash myself and blog so makeup just takes a back seat. However, as the beauty blogging world and the ladies within it are upping their game every single day, I thought if I am going to stick with LLP and share my passions still, I need to start making more effort with myself and give it my best shot to get up that 10 minutes earlier and do my makeup.

The simplest makeup that you can't go wrong with whilst the sunshine is out is highlighting. Forget needing loads and loads of products, for me you just need one (I may or may not have a few more than that but you do only really need one ladies!). The product that I think you can't not instantly adore just on appearance but unfortunately is now sold out, is the Mac Cosmetics Wash and Dry Freshen Up Highlight powder (£25.00). I won't say too much on this one as my original review HERE shares all my highlighting love for you but it was worth every buck!!

The second more affordable palette that has a great sparkly sun catching highlighter is the Sleek Face Contour Kit in Light (£6.49). This palette includes the scary dark muddy contour powder, which I have still been too scared to try but the other side is a gem! The highlighter powder is a flattering peach pink hue that will look beautiful on most skin tones. I like this colour especially as it blends very subtly into my fair skin. I add a touch of the powder to the tops of my cheeks and a little under my brow for a more sculpted look.

Finally the highlighting multipurpose hero product of the summer is Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal c/o (£33.00, 50ml). Now this amazing lightweight water based moisturiser is an all in one skin shimmering highlighter for your whole body. This natural looking shimmer completely transforms your skin, making it look healthy, bright and dewy. You can use this simply as a highlighter on your face or you can use it as base before applying your make up or even all over your body to give your skin a healthy glow. Personally this is by far the best shade for a gorgeous summer bronzed glow. Worth every penny!

What are your favourite highlighters for summer?
