AUTUMN FOUNDATIONS INCLUDING THE NEW TWO FACED BORN THIS WAY FOUNDATION.

Foundation is my makeup staple in the winter, as gone are the days of perfected skin like I had as a kid. With a mix of red patches and those evil under the skin spots, my skin needs more coverage than ever. Medium coverage is usually the best.

I have always had a love affair with Liz Earle's Signature foundation £21.00 and this is my third bottle I think. It is the perfect formula, its light and blendable, the perfect colour for me too. Its coverage is just right when my skin is behaving but as I'm in the mist of a flare up I've been using a blend of Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation £9.99 and Gosh Foundation Drops c/o £12.99, which together make a medium to full coverage. On those bad days its the best mix!

A light and easy change from my perfect mix is Bourjois Nude Sensation c/o £9.99. A whipped light foundation this blur affect foundation looks so natural and the texture means it's blends into your skin without hardly any effort. The only thing I don't love about this one is the pot. I just hate having to dip your finger or brush into the pot, seems so messy and unnecessary!

The star of my shelf has to be Too Faced's brand new Born This Way Foundation c/o £27.00. A medium to full coverage foundation that makes such a huge difference. The foundation is a skin and makeup hybrid so it looks really natural but blurs out imperfections and certainly my redness.

The packaging is something to look at too as I love it! A simple chunky glass container that feels like its got alot of months worth of foundation stored in it, reminding me of the Giorgio Armani luminous sleek foundations packaging, it's gorgeous! The gold accents and frosted glass looks amazing on your dressing table.  As for the foundation itself, it is surprising light for the amount of coverage it gives you. I have old acne scars and certainly a few unfriendly spots still , which this covers without looking cakey or highlighting them even more. I would say this shade-Ivory is pretty much perfect for me but as the Winter sets in, I might have to mix it with a lighter shade, as I get paler than pale!

What are your favourite foundations for Autumn?
