Launching this Christmas is the return of gold shimmery goodness. There is something about Christmas that brings out the sparkle and shimmer in pretty much every beauty limited edition collection but hey I'm not complaining I do love myself a simple glitter smokey eye.

This year Sleek, the brand who create the best contouring and blush duos in my eyes, have launched a limited edition 24 carat Gold Collection, plus as you can see in the picture above, a sneak preview of whats to come next year- their VIP lipsticks!!

Firstly I must say before I review them that the launch was something I will never forget, the poor PR had a total mare as in a secret London nightclub, there was a power cut down the whole of Shaftsberry Avenue so to put it nicely thank fuck for the iphone torch! I did in fact only really get to experience the collection when I got back home and through my torch hehe! The glamorous life hey!

Back to the collection, this is a lovely simple range brought out just for Christmas that showcases their new simplistic matte packaging with gold accents. Not what you would expect for a high street brand but they have made it look really luxurious. With a highlighting palette, eye palette and three very glittery lip glosses this collection is something to go and swatch away in store over.

To start, the gold Standard I-Lust Palette c/o £7.49 is the showstopper and so affordable. Its a gorgeous mix of both cream and powder shadows which really do pack a serious punch with their shimmer and colour. Each colour in the palette is named after fashion designers, Laurent is an rich chocolate brown with purple shimmer, Coco is a rich burnt bronze, Margiela is a creamy bronze, Vera a stunning gold powder, Louis is a light creamy rose gold that actually is the most glittery shadow I have seen in a while and finally my favourite Vivienne a beautiful champagne gold. This palette has my name written all over it and each shade is wearable for evening and day.

As well as my dreamy palette, a completely different palette has been created for this limited edition collection, which is a rather interesting one to be popped under the '24Carat' name, as it is a completely cool silvery palette of highlighters not very gold at all!

Midas Touch Highlighting Palette c/o (£10.00) is a face and body highlighter consisting of three baked powders and one cream formula. These are very shimmery with an iridescent finish from Solitaire, a grey cool tones cream highlighter to Rhinestone , which is literally a blue highlighter, I have to say I am scared of this palette. Completely beautiful to look at but I'm not that brave I think, well not yet! Tanzanite however is the most easiest to style being a rosy pink glitter.

Finally to finish they have launched three Glitter Me Lip Glosses c/o (£4.99) that pack a real punch when it comes to colour. Launching in three shades, Money Talks, a light peach, Uptown Girl a hot pink and Private Jet a rich red, these lip glosses aren't for me but they are very lightweight and don't feel sticky at all which makes a change! I already gave my mum the pink one and she loves it!

Also at the event Sleek gave us a sneak peek of what is to come in 2016 and think lipsticks ladies! They are launching with a few SS16 colours to start and the collection is certainly planning on growing in the future.

Have you swatched or tried the new Sleek 24 Carat Gold Collection?
