I think it is fair to say we have welcomed a British summer into our lives with a heatwave for approximately a day and a months worth of rain in an hour. Summer might be letting us down already but I do have some fabulous summer beauty posts coming up with bright, fun and tasty smelling goodies that have just launched.

To kick off the summer, The Body Shop have brought the cocktails to our bathroom with an exotic Pinita Colada collection. For a gal who hasn't actually ever had a cocktail, yes I'm the loser who doesn't drink alcohol, I must say I think without the rum, the range is blooming lovely! The collection consists of four new products, a body scrub, body sorbet, shower gel and body butter. With some of the best summery but simple packaging I have seen from The Body Shop in a while, the whole collection just feels sophisticated and fun.

As many Body Shop fans will want to know, their products are usually all about the fragrance. Their body care is tried and tested for me with a classic formula that always feel great on the skin, so usually the 'to buy or not to buy' comes from their fragrances. This Pinita Colada collection, like the name suggests it brings together the summery scents of coconut and pineapple. I think the predominate scent is pineapple with a soft under tone of creamy coconut. Unlike some of the other new releases I have tried, this scent isn't as over powering or sweet, it's light, fresh and fruity.

Like I said, for me The Body Shop always deliver on their formula's. The body butter from this collection is lightweight- almost whipped so it skins into your skin almost instantly and I am a new convert to the body sorbet texture, as it feels just so soft and moisturising on my skin in the shower.

As for summer...maybe we should just stick it in our bathrooms this year! Have you tried The Body Shop Pinita Colada range?
