November 23, 2016

This time of year means all of your favourite beauty blogs, Youtube channels and magazines are going to be full of things to buy this Christmas. I thought about writing a few Christmas gift guides but I almost didn't want to this year, I didn't want to be showered with beauty gifts that should be given to others who don't have beauty draws filled to the brim. I wanted to write about gifts that deserve the time and love on my blog.

Two of those brands I think deserve the love and time are Bee Good and Green People. Both of these brands are inspiring British home grown family businesses that both aim to use wonderful natural ingredients going above and beyond to support charities that are dear to their brand along with helping to sustain their core ingredients.

Starting with Bee Good, they make it their priority to support their award winning honey makers - British Bees. Being expert bee keepers, a wonderful couple - Simon and Caroline, the founder and creators of Bee Good, they decided to make Bee's the star of their product range. Starting with a small range of skincare products, Bee Good have now award winning products that feel, look and smell amazing.

This Christmas, they have created an affordable range of beautiful Gift Sets, all housed in an amazing hexagonal box with a lovely bee hive design. Each box contains minis and full sized products of their most loved products. The one I have is the Award Winners gift set c/o (£8.00). This box contains a mini travel size Honey and Propolis 2 in 1 cream cleanser and a Vanilla and Honey Lip Balm. For the price this would make such a great secret Santa or stocking filler. I love their cream cleanser and it was the first product I ever tried from the brand -  worth every penny!

The second brand that has produced such a wonderful array of gift sets this Christmas is Green People. An organic family brand, their products are really affordable and with every purchase, Green People will donate to Butterfly Conservation, which is such a wonderful collaboration. Green People with this specific Butterfly collection have transformed their packaging each with a different coloured illustrated butterfly, which for Christmas would make such a wonderful stocking filler or a little trinket to hang on the tree.

In my gift set, Soothe c/o (£15.95) you receive mini 30ml Face Serum, Cleanser and Moisturiser for sensitive skin, the perfect way to test out Green People's skincare range before committing to a full size. I must say I was so impressed with the packaging design of the Butterfly collection, as it actually feels like a butterfly when you open it, as all four sides organically open together to reveal the products inside.

This Christmas, before you run to the usual big brand suspects, please do look around and support brands that make a difference, support their ingredients and are up and coming to the beauty world. Just like these two wonderful brands.

Hugs & Kisses
