During the colder months, I am usually pretty darn lazy when it comes to makeup apart from my base. Keeping my skin hydrated underneath makeup is so important for not only my skin but also to make sure my makeup looks its best. After trying so many makeup primers over my many years as a blogger, I think I have finally found the perfect duo and it comes from two brands that even surprised me!
Day to night makeup.. lets not kid ourselves...I like to change my makeup completely. I am sure my makeup would probably last for a good 12 hours however, I always completely remove my day makeup if I am hitting the town in the evening and take pleasure in reapplying. Also my night time look usually is alot heavier than my day makeup and I have two bases that fit right into my needs.
Starting with a primer that I have wanted to try ever since I heard about it, Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer c/o (£27.00). Excuse the name, as I am sure it's not talking about an alcohol induced hangover but one where your skin needs that kiss of life, it looks dehydrated and in desperate need of some moisture.
This Hourglass Primer does more than just prime your skin for makeup it corrects your skin tone to give your face a more refined and clearer complexion whilst also making it look a million dollars! I can't even express how bloody good this stuff is!!
It's light and oil free formula means it blurs, smooths and perfects the skin instantly without looking greasy. The 'light correcting' part is the magic as the pigments within the primer neutralises any uneven skin tone to give a luminous glow across your face. In terms of it's affect, I can only really compare it to one of my hero products, Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector (£34.00) for it's luminosity and glow making the perfect base for a bright glamorous night out.
I would 100% recommend trying both of these primer's out yourself and see how fabulous they are. If I had to pick one, it would be the Hourglass Ambient Light Correcting Primer, just as I can't tell your how amazing it is in covering up my redness and making me feel more confident in my own skin.
Have you tried either of these primers? What are your favourites?
Hugs & Kisses
